Direct to Downtown: COTA Expands Service in Dublin

DUBLIN, Ohio — Traveling from Dublin to some of central Ohio’s biggest destinations just got easier! Beginning Sept. 7, COTA will expand service by extending Line 1 Kenny north from Carriage Place to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Outpatient Care Dublin. The change creates a direct ride between Dublin and Downtown Columbus, eliminating the need to transfer along the way.

The expanded route connects riders with Ohio State’s campus, the Short North, Downtown Columbus and other destinations along the Line 1 corridor. Buses will run every 30 minutes, seven days a week.

Temporary Stop for Sept. 7 Launch

While construction is completed on the permanent boarding location near Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin, COTA will use a temporary stop on westbound University Boulevard near the facility.

The temporary stop is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks before service moves to the permanent location.

Dublin Park and Ride Is Moving

Another COTA change arrives Sept. 7 when the existing Dublin Park and Ride will relocate to the corner of Dale Drive and Bridge Park Avenue. COTA riders can park for free in the Theodore Garage on Mooney Street, just off Dale Drive. This includes riders using COTA’s Zoo Bus service to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

Together, the changes make it easier to move through the region without reaching for the car keys. Whether the destination is work, campus, an appointment or a night downtown, riders will have more ways to explore our Exceptional Community and beyond!
